Powering the Future of Industrial Heat

Immersion-Electrode Boilers

ZETA Boiler delivers medium-voltage immersion-electrode boilers for steam and hot-water applications, primarily to the North and South American markets . Our roots date back to 1898 through Swedish engineering leader Zander & Ingeström AB, the original inventor of the electrode boiler.

Our boilers provide zero onsite emissions, rapid startup, and wide modulation. Designed for applications from 5 MW to over 70 MW, ZETA boilers produce high-purity steam and high-temperature hot water while eliminating the complexities of fuel-based systems.

Through separate regional supply chains for North and South America, ZETA works with local vendors, manufacturers, and project partners to support project-specific pressure-vessel certifications, including ASME and CRN requirements, as well as applicable electrical codes, including CSA, NRTL and NR-10 certifications.

Why ZETA ?

ZETA electrode boilers have stood the test of time, becoming a de facto standard across Europe and parts of Asia through installations delivered by Swedish engineering company Zander & Ingeström AB. ZETA now brings this proven technology to the North and South American markets.

The technology offers safer operation and distinctive features, including direct grid connection without an isolation transformer, reduced hydrogen-explosion risk, rapid startup, low-energy standby, and wide output modulation.

ZETA’s insulated inner tank minimizes leakage current, allowing direct medium-voltage grid connection without an isolation transformer, subject to local utility requirements and project conditions.

ZETA’s electrode surface distributes current over a wider area, lowering current density and thereby limiting electrolysis and reducing the risk of explosion caused by hydrogen accumulation.

ZETA’s immersion design eliminates moving parts and, as a result, reduces uneven flow, the risk of arcing, and overall maintenance requirements.

ZETA’s calm water surface and large steam space prevent water droplets from entering the steam line, delivering >99.8% steam quality.

ZETA offers a full line of hot-water boilers that heat water directly, eliminating the need for an intermediate steam cycle and additional phase-change equipment.
